1. Lay
Static String across the stack to remove static as the top sheet
is lifted and moved forward.
2. Place Static
String under the sheet in the gap in front of the stack and allow
the sheet to pass over the Static String.
3. At the base
of the feed board, place Static String under the sheet and allow
it to pass over to the grippers.
4. Place
Static Elastic™ across the sheet allowing it to pass into the delivery
stack.

Problem During Delivery
Static on sheets in delivery causes uneven stacking. Also, difficulties
such as doubles and cling in feeding sheets during concurrent operations
such as folding, laminating, etc. Customer issues with separating
and feeding sheets can be a quality issue.
Solution
Place Static String, Static Elastic or ion360F Rods across the web
about 1/2 - 1 inch from the surface just before it enters the delivery
stack. Ground Static String to the bare metal of the machine. Make
certain the sheet is not in contact with the machine and the static
eliminator is closer to the sheet than any part of the machine.

Problem on Folders
Static on folders results in sheets clinging together upon delivery.
Some report sheets clinging so much that operators can lift a string
of sheets that stay together.
Solution
Use Static String, Static Elastic or ion360F rods. Place the string
or rods under the signatures just as they emerge from the last rollers
of the folder. Remember, you must remove the static from the surface
of the folded sheet when it is not in contact with the machine or
another sheet. Remove the static from the sheet while it is "in
space" as it emerges from the last rollers.
